The Donna Tenor Ukulele

World traveler Donna saw the plumeria flowers on Zoey’s ukulele and had to have them on her’s as well.  This is The Donna Tenor Ukulele.

This set of Koa was personally picked by Donna for a standard tenor ukulele.  This Koa may not be as curly as some, but it exhibits lots of chocolate colors and a little blister curl as well–a really good contrast with the white mother-of-pearl and  paua abalone plumeria flowers sound board inlay.  Donna says “better than Gucci”.

Gimme’ some chocolate koa–mmmm!

May favorite part of the build is the black walnut neck.  The walnut stock was not thick enough for a single glue line so I opted for a black walnut stringer and then added the turquoise fiber accents.

In real life this neck looks pretty cool and goes well with all the other “blue accents” on the instrument.

Basically all the bells and whistles.  Donna should be picking up soon, assuming her travels allow her to do so.

The Donna Tenor Ukulele is definitely “one-of-a-kind”!
