The Cindy Tenor Ukulele

Here is The Cindy Tenor Ukulele.  This is a standard tenor ukulele built from the “Tri-Color” koa billet of wood I obtained last year.  Even though this is the third instrument I have made from the same piece of koa, each one one has exhibited its own unique appearance with multiple curl and color variations.

Cindy likes blue so she opted for  blue Paua Abalone and turquoise blue purfling.

Lots of koa color and curl

The white mother-of-pearl and paua abalone flowers were requested for both the upper sound board and peg head.  The peg head also has her name in paua abalone.  There almost wasn’t enough room for the tuners.

Almost not enough room for tuners

I have another super tenor made from this koa ready to deliver to Hale Ukulele this coming Tuesday if anyone is interested.   The tri-color koa has definitely been popular and fun build for me.
