Curly Mango Baritone Ukulele - Sold
Almost done for the year with this new Curly Mango Baritone Ukulele.
It’s All About The Woods
Body: curly Hawaiian Mango. It’s tough to get spalted mango that hasn’t lost at least some of it’s structural integrity. This set beat the odds; and, for mango, exhibits very good tap tone. When you have a set of wood as nice as this it isn’t necessary to get glitzy.
Binding: curly Hawaiian Koa with maple/black fiber purfling.
Neck: Central American Mahogany with internal carbon truss rod.
Fret Board and Bridge: radiused Brazilian Rosewood.
Accent Woods: Koa.
The Rest Of The Build
Tuners: Gotoh 501.
Strings: Oasis “Southcoast” linear–DBGE.
Fret Markers: white MOP.
Case: Crossrock ABS.
And
I haven’t made a mango instrument yet that I didn’t like. This one pretty much has it all with some darn good looks and a really full sound. Mango tends to be on the warm side with good volume. This is a finger-style instrument that soothes the ear. Mango me babe! And Happy New Year.
