Blue Honu Koa Concert Ukulele
The Blue Honu Koa Concert Ukulele was completed a few months ago and found it’s way to Arizona. Here’s an example of blue paua abalone purfling with blue fiber purfling accents–lot’s of blue. Fortunately, I had a small blue Honu to add to the tongue of the finger board to compliment.
The Koa wood is nice and curly and had some water mark stain to make it even more interesting in appearance. The Koa exhibits good rich, red chocolate color as well.
The build exhibits a varity of other woods including India Rosewood binding, Honduran Mahogany neck, and Asian Satin Wood burl accents. Of course Gotoh UPT tuners, gold “evo” frets and carbon fiber truss rod are standard.
Even if it’s new home is Arizona, the Blue Honu Koa Concert Ukulele owner keeps it as close to water as possible. I’ll let you guess where that might be.
