Mango Wood Lover’s Pineapple Ukulele - Available at Hale Ukulele
Mmmmmm! Fresh mangos with this Mango Wood Lover’s Pineapple Ukulele.
I’m using Mango Wood 3 ways here: you’ve got your basic chocolate marble figured sound board,
your basic curly, spalted figured sides,
and your basic beeswing figured yellow and grey back. I think that cover’s most of the bases. You just can’t have enough mango!
Yes, all the accent woods are mango as well.
The neck is African Black Limba. I haven’t been able to find suitable mango wood for necks until this last week but I have found that the appearance of the Limba is most suitable for almost all of the mango and myrtle instruments that I build. I am using India Rosewood for the fret board and bridge. The binding is India Rosewood with yellow/black fiber accents.
Black Gotoh UPT tuners and Romero/LaBella low “G” strings round out the build. As usual these instruments are fun and full and easy to play with super low action.
