Blond Curly Koa Tenor Ukulele
One of my latest deliveries to Hale Ukulele is this Blond Curly Koa Tenor Ukulele.
Actually, I delivered two blond curly koa ukuleles but one was a concert which I will post next week. Both instruments were accented the same but I reversed the blue/black fiber lay-up on the instruments to give a different look to the Blue Paua Abalone purfling. Some individuals like the lighter, translucent blue that comes with the blue fiber against the purfling while I believe the “blues” show up better and are darker with the black against the Paua purfling.
Both builds are pretty standard with Honduran Mahogany necks, Amazon Rosewood finger board and bridge, Afzalia Burl accent woods, India Rosewood binding and Gotoh UPT Tuners.
Yup, Blond and Blue!
