And
This build with the Romero high “G” fit my ears pretty well. The strings not settled in yet were starting to work. I still like the Romero String sets low or high “G”. We decided to leave off the side port on this build for a two particular reasons: esthetics and also to evaluate player feedback. We also wanted to keep the look traditional. The last two double’s had side ports. The result, in my opinion, is a little less player feedback but not so much that I feel we made a mistake. It’s been awhile since I’ve made an all koa instrument and it was good to get back to that traditional look.
Double Puka Double Curly Ukulele = double fun!
