Koa And Opal Custom Tenor Ukulele - For Sale--$1850

I guess I’m calling this super tenor shape the Koa And Opal Custom Tenor Ukulele.

Koa And Opal Custom Tenor Ukulele

Colorful compression Koa.

Let The Woods Speak For Themselves

Body:  curly, compression Koa.  I’m always up for a new look, so on this ukulele I didn’t remove the live edge pattern on both the top and back so that I could showcase the use of cultured opal.  All I can say is that it took a lot of material to fill the gaps–more than expected since it is the same thickness as the wood.  Also, the process is a bit time consuming.   All the Opal fills are braced for security.  A unique look for sure.

And

Sounds good.  The Opal doesn’t seem to affect the sound at all.  This one is maybe a bit brighter than my usual, but then it’s hard to evaluate without a comparable new instrument to compare it with.  This uke is a crowd pleaser for sure.  Nothing like a little glitz to get the crowds attention.  Done and done this Koa And Opal Custom Tenor Ukulele.
