The latest instrument to receive strings is this Curly Koa Curly Maple Tenor Ukulele–a Canadian request.
The Woods
Body: Classic color Curly Koa all around.
Neck: Honduran Mahogany with carbon truss rod and curly maple laminate. This neck is 1 1/2″ and shaped somewhat classical style. The finish is sanded.
Finger Board and Bridge: Ebony species.
Accent woods: Amboyna Burl.
Nut and Saddle: unbleached bone.
Binding and Rosette: Curly Maple with black fiber accents.
The Rest of the Build
Strings: Pepe Romero flourocarbon with wound low “G”.
Case: Crossrock fiberglass.
Fret Board Markers: white MOP.
And
It’s hard not to like the sound of Koa and with this much curl easy on the eye. This instrument should do well with most arrangements and playing styles with good mid-range and ample high’s and low’s.
