Curly Koa Tenor Ukulele 2025 - Sold
Starting off the New Year with this Curly Koa Tenor Ukulele 2025. This is a standard tenor.
The New Owner said: “. . . I played it side by side with my “K model” and yours blew it away (and that’s before you even get to the looks!). . .)
Let The Wood Speak For Itself
Body: dark curly Koa.
Binding: curly Hawaiian Mango with maple/black purfling accents. Didn’t need to add any glitz to this one.
Neck: Oh boy! I took a bunch of my Mango offcuts and laminated them together with maple strips in between for a fun look and color match. There is the usual massive carbon truss rod inside as well. I’m playing with a new neck heal which is on the square side. Not sure yet if I’ll keep it but it’s kinda fun.
Fret Board and Bridge: radiused Brazilian Rosewood. Markers are a combination of paua abalone and blue recon stone.
Accents: curly Hawaiian Mango.
The Rest Of The Build
Head Stock: matching Koa with shell and opal inlay.
Nut and Saddle: unbleached bone.
Tuners: Gotoh UPT.
Strings: Pepe Romero, low “G”.
Case: Crossrock ABS.
And
This one went together nicely (they don’t always). I love this look in Koa and the top/back/sides are billet matched. Mango accents–it’s all Hawaiian. What’s not to love about a Curly Koa Tenor Ukulele 2025. Fun, fun, fun!!!
