Claro Walnut And Dark Forest Tenor Ukulele - For Sale $1650

This is a Claro Walnut And Dark Forest Tenor Ukulele.

Claro And Dark Forest Tenor Ukulele

Dark Forest Cypress and dark claro walnut.

It’s All About The Woods

Body:   figured Claro Walnut.  I purchased this particular set of claro walnut because of it’s unusual figure–neither full quilt nor full curl. “Curlt” figure maybe?  Anyway, a fun look with walnut flavor.

Fun figured Claro Walnut body.

Sound Board:  another classic wood is this Dark Forest Cypress.  I’m still liking this wood for both it’s appearance and tone.

Reclaimed bog cypress sound board.

Neck:  subtle curl Claro Walnut.  Carbon fiber truss rod or course.  And, I laminated a bit of the grey/brown/blond curly koa to brighten the look.

And

I’m liking the Dark Forest Cypress more and more.  I’d say that it sounds like Sitka but has the look of an ancient wood.  It is, after all, a bog reclaimed wood and reported to be somewhere between 100 and 300 years old submerged?  Just going for a fun look and a good sound.  This super tenor has the warmth of walnut, especially with the Low”G” Pepe’s, and presentable brights.  What more can you ask from a Claro And Dark Forest Tenor Ukulele?
