Sugi Bubinga Baritone Ukulele - Sold

I’m behind again on posting–as usual.  Here’s and interesting build, a Sugi Bubinga Baritone Ukulele.

Sugi Bubinga Baritone Ukulele

Hawaiian grown Japanese Sugi sound board.

Let The Woods Speak For Themselves

Body:  Figured African Bubinga.  This is the African Rosewood with a bright and beautiful tone.

Figured African Bubinga body.

Sound Board:  another set of Japanese Sugi grown on Hawaii.  I think the figured variety is a bit difficult to work with but its got a great finished tone on the warm side.  Balance with the bright Bubinga back works to it’s advantage.

Neck:  Curly PNW Big Leaf Maple with black center strip.  Carbon truss rod.

And

A tough build for a number of reasons.  This was probably the last of the builds from 2025 with weather, temperature and supply issues.  Overall, it’s a players instrument with a wonderful sound and great sustain.  Just for you and you.  I don’t expect to see anymore Sugi with this type of figure so let’s hear it for the last Sugi Bubinga Baritone Ukulele from my shop!
