Koa Tenor Pineapple Ukulele Madness - Sold
I felt the need to have at least one Koa Pineapple Ukulele on stock since I’ve made a lot in Mango lately. Here’s the Koa Tenor Pineapple Ukulele Madness just finished.
Yes, all Koa. I even added a curly blond sapwood Koa for the binding with green and black fiber as accents.
The accent woods on this instrument are curly Mango.
The finger board and bridge are India Rosewood.
I think the outstanding feature on this instrument is the very unique Mappa Burl neck. I’ve used it before and I still find it fun to work with and look at. This is actually European Poplar. It is very light and fairly easy to work with once stabilized with some glue and epoxy. Of course, there is a massive carbon fiber truss rod down the center so I’m not too worried about it being stabile. Just gotta’ have fun!
Not too big, and not too small in size these Tenor Pineapple Ukes. Good instrument volume translates into good sustain and tonal quality. The Pepe Romero low “G” strings help to add umph and warmth.
Gotoh Tuners finish the build. It comes packaged in an Ahead backpack style case as well.
Now, what to follow the Koa Tenor Pineapple Ukulele Madness with?
